We are so excited that we have mapped out what we will be featuring in each issue. Our blog for that month will have fun articles on the same topics.

February

Our Valentine's issue comes out on February 1, 2012.  This issue features some great Italian restaurants in the area.  We are also going to be featuring some great places to buy some "bling."  If Maritini's are your favorite drink--you have come to the right place.


March

The March issue will focus on The Houston Rodeo.  Our food feature will be yummy BBQ and fashion of course will center around Country and Western Wear - think jeans, cowboy boots, hats and Texas fashion.  We will also feature some great Country Bars.


April

The April issue will focus on pizza and beer.  Where do you love to eat pizza?  We will feature some great beer joints.  Fashion for this issue will focus on Resale and Consignments shops in the area.


May

The May issue will focus on great Wine Bars in the area.  Our food section will be some great American/Continental Restaurants.  This is a great fashion issue also.  We are spotlighting Shoes and Purses.  Wow!  Can't wait.

June

Brides, brides, brides.  June is our bridal issue.  Our spotlight will be on some great event halls, bridal fashion and our food focus is on desserts.  Cupcakes, cake, cookies and pies.  Yum.

July

July is Summertime!  What goes better with summer than burgers!  For fashion we will be featuring swimsuits and pet fashions.  So fun!

August

August is our back to school issue.  Mexican is the food of choice.  Margaritas are our drink.  Fashion will spotlight the kids. 


September

September's issue will focus on jewelry and hair accessories.  Great places to find great pieces.  The food spotlight will be Asian-Sushi, Janpanese, Thai and Chinese.  Our blog will have a different focus this month than our magazine.  Our "Best Of" issue is October and all of our voting will take place through Facebook and our blog.  Make sure you Vote.

October

October is our Best Of... Issue.  From our voting we will post the winners of categories in food and fashion. 

November

Our November issue will focus on breakfast and great places to get great coffee.  The fashion focus will be spicy- we are featuring lingerie and menswear. 

December

December is our gift guide.  We will be featuring great steakhouses, fashion gifts and place to have a great cocktail.

January

January's issue will focus on healthy options for dining.  Since we all make resolutions to lose weight our fashion will focus on work-out wear and sportswear for hitting the gym.

What does this mean for the magazine?
It means more great articles, fashion shows, and a way to get to know more great places to shop in the area.  We will talk about upcoming trends, feature new products and feature some wonderful boutiques and shops.

Our first issue will still be coming out on February 1, 2012.  Our blog is goig to have a new daily twist of covering fashion. restaurants, boutiques and current events in The Woodlands, Conroe, magnolia, Tomball, Spring and FM1960/Champions areas.

He is a very fun chef that does a lot of recipes using molecular gastronomy.

He is fascinated by eggs.

WD-50 is located in New York, Nork York.

He has been a featued guest judge on Top Chef, he is a James Beard nominee,  and he has appeared on Iron Chef.

Black Walnut Cafe specializes in great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I would be leaving something out if I did not mention the Gelato--it is to die for.  There slogan is "Where Comfort Meets Food".  They have a wide variety of salads, great pasta dishes and many choices for main entrees.

The breakfast menu is impressive and has a great variety of otems ranging from eggs benedict (yum) to traditional pancakes and french toast.  They offer to-go orders and also catering.  They have a morning and afternoon Happy Hour's Menu also.

yield: Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

• 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter
• 1 cup chopped leeks (white and pale green parts only)
• 1 12-ounce bunch thin asparagus, trimmed, cut on diagonal into 1-inch pieces (about 2 1/2 cups)
• 1 cup sliced stemmed shiitake mushrooms
• 8 large omega-3 eggs
• 1 cup diced Fontina cheese, divided
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Prep:

 Preheat broiler. Melt butter in heavy broilerproof 10-inch-diameter nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add leeks and sauté 4 minutes. Add asparagus and shiitake mushrooms, sprinkle lightly with salt, and sauté until tender, about 6 minutes. Whisk eggs, 3/4 cup Fontina cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in medium bowl. Add egg mixture to skillet; fold gently to combine. Cook until almost set. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup Fontina cheese and Parmesan cheese over. Broil until frittata is puffed and cheese begins to turn golden, about 3 minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.

We are proud to announce we will be working with The Montgomery County Food Bank.

I had a chance to speak with to speak with Margie Taylor from the food bank to discuss some upcoming events and also to arrange for a tour at a later date.  I was very excited to learn about all the great things the food bank does.  The Montgomery County Food Bank will have a feature in our first issue of Taste Magazine coming out very soon.  We will also be featuring them in future issues.  So stay tuned for a great article.
